- Acadia National Park: August 6, 2005

Bar Harbor, Maine: August 5-6, 2005
We stopped off at the Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine. Upon the recommendation of a rather convincing shoe saleswoman, we were led to Bob's Clam Shack where we had the most incredible lobster roll and Haddock sandwich. We will be craving those for a long time to come. Great recommendation.
Fun Fact: It may not surprise many people to learn that 90% of the lobsters consumed in the US are from Maine, but did you know that 99% of the blueberries consumed in the US also come from Maine? We had our share of both.
Observing sunrise atop Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park is a must for any visitor to the area. You have to be up fairly early to catch the sun make its grand entrance over the Atlantic. If you miss the big show, do not fret, this one should be showing for quite some time (we hope). Despite the fact that it happens every day, it is still a beautiful thing to watch.
